what we do
All the work Twin County United Way does is centered around identifying needs, unifying people, sharing resources, & improving lives in Nez Perce & Asotin County.
We do this by achieving measurable results through collective action on initiatives that focus on community impact - and by focusing on funding programs that improve outcomes in EDUCATION, INCOME and HEALTH.
Through our partnership with local agencies & the business commuity, we develop solutions to the most pressing needs in the community. We've identified these needs through our community needs assessment, working with local government, school districts, citizens, businesses and agencies. Our community solutions chart shows you the key ingredients to our priority outcomes.
Education
- Increase safety, stability, and parent engagement
- Increase kindergarten readiness
- Increase positive social, emotional and academic youth development
Income
- Increase financial literacy for low income individuals
- Increase assets and job readiness for low income individuals
- Increase individuals with basic needs such as food, safety and shelter
Health
- Decrease substance abuse
