Twin County United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council is hosting a Learning Lunch on Thursday October 20th at the Happy Day Event Center (841 16th Street, Clarkston) at 12 (noon). The event will provide a fun & easy way to learn how everyone can help “The Children’s Project” that focuses on helping children socially & academically prepare for kindergarten. Deanna Didier, one of the kindergarten teachers of the 2011 Children’s Project will be speaking, giving a firsthand account of the benefits of this program and Twin County United Way’s partnership with education. The Learning lunch will also feature a silent auction & door prizes.

TICKETS:
Tickets for the luncheon can be purchased at the door and are $25 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Children’s Project.

The Women’s Leadership Council is here to mobilize the power of women to advance the common good in our communities. By identifying a critical need in our community and surrounding areas, in conjunction with Twin County United Way at large, the Women’s Leadership Council will seek to engage women to lead the charge – across all socioeconomics – in a focused and defined effort through hands-on opportunities to facilitate sustainable change.
