Twin County United Way is currently recruiting Loaned Executives from the area communities and businesses to help with its 2012 fundraising campaign.
Twin County United Way serves the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and surrounding areas by working to advance the common good in the areas of education, income, and health. TCUW partners with 20 area agencies to help raise money to help someone in need in our area. These agencies include the Willow Center, Valley Meals on Wheels, The Idaho Foodbank and the Boys and Girls Club of the Lewis-Clark Valley.
As part of its fundraising campaign each year to help these agencies, the TCUW sends Board Members and Loaned Executives to area businesses to make presentations to owners and employees. The presentations discuss the purposes and goals of TCUW and how 100 percent of each donation stays right here in the valley. The presentations also include information on the agencies that TCUW supports and what these agencies are doing to help area residents.
Anyone can be a Loaned Executive and the time commitment is anywhere from 10-30 hours total spread out over 3-4 months. The time commitment includes a training session, presentations, and follow-up with the businesses and communication with the TCUW staff. A Loaned Executive will make anywhere from 5-10 presentations, depending on their interest and time commitment.
A Loaned Executive training session will be held August 17th from 8 a.m. to noon on the Lewis-Clark State College campus. The training session will be held in room 136 of Activity Center West. The training session will give the Loaned Executives the necessary tools to give presentations along with DVDs to help with the presentation.
