Twin County United Way Executive Director, Angie Titus, announced today that she will be leaving TCUW in August to become the Director of Community Engagement for Community Action Partnership (CAP) in Lewiston, Idaho.
"Angie has done a tremendous job with the Twin County United Way and we are very sad to see her leave," said Bert Sahlberg, President of the TCUW Board of Directors. "She's a real asset to our community so I'm grateful that she is staying in the area and continuing her great work. Angie's such a great person and I certainly look forward to continuing to work with her in her new position."
Titus has served as the Director of TCUW since March of 2006, and in that time has worked on several local collaborations including the Lewis and Clark Health Center and The Children's Project, a project to prepare local students for kindergarten.
Titus said, "It's definitely been a lot of hard work to help an organization transition from being a traditional fundraising organization, to an organization that really plays an active role in providing solutions to pressing needs. However, every minute of it has been rewarding and worth all of the energy."
In her new role, Titus will be working with CAP staff, local organizations, and community members on numerous partnerships through the CAP organization to end poverty in the region. The TCUW Board of Directors will begin the search process immediately for a new Executive Director and will introduce a new director by the beginning of the fall campaign.
TCUW identifies the most pressing needs in the community, and local nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to apply for grant funds if they have a solution to those needs. Community volunteers serve on the "Community Investment Panels" as each organization goes through an outcome measurement process. The fundraising campaign in the fall funds these programs focused on Education, Income/Financial Stability, and Health.
